Notch-bar and smooth continuous brass ingots for casting, forging and machining. Composition is checked on an optical emission spectrometer (OES) for every heat.
Four controlled steps from raw material to ingot.
Virgin copper and zinc and sorted brass scrap are checked and cleared of iron and foreign matter before melting.
Medium-frequency induction furnaces limit oxidation and hold the copper to zinc ratio.
The melt is analysed on an OES and adjusted until it matches the grade.
Degassed metal is poured into water-cooled steel moulds to make 5-notch or smooth ingots.

Every batch is tested before it ships.
Each heat is checked on an optical emission spectrometer to confirm the elements.
Degassing removes gas from the melt, so the ingot machines cleanly on CNC lathes.
Each shipment carries a batch test certificate with chemical results, to EN 10204 type 3.1.
